Ramsports and AEPA at PLAYCON, FISE World Series Shanghai 2026

Ramsports had a booth at PLAYCON, the interactive sports area at FISE World Series Shanghai, with Asia Elite Pickleball Academy (AEPA). The festival ran from October 15 to 18 on Shanghai's West Bund, and entry was free.

Pickleball was one of the featured sports at one of Shanghai's biggest free-entry sports festivals, and Ramsports was there for it.

Ramsports and AEPA ran a booth inside PLAYCON, the interactive sports area at the FISE World Series Shanghai festival, held October 15 to 18 along the Huangpu River waterfront in Xuhui District.

Pickleball at PLAYCON

PLAYCON was the festival's hands-on sports area, open to the public. It offered four featured activities: pickleball, street basketball, golf and beach volleyball. That put pickleball alongside three established sports, and gave festival visitors a free chance to try it.

The wider festival also had boxing, basketball shooting, football challenges, climbing areas, parkour courses, a Spartan challenge area and evening music parties.

The FISE competition programme

FISE Shanghai 2026 had 18 contests across five sports: BMX, skateboarding, street dance, freestyle scootering and inline skating. More than 500 athletes had registered as of a briefing on October 9.

The BMX Freestyle Park and BMX Flatland World Cup events led the programme, with men's and women's competitions under the International Cycling Union (UCI). The flatland contest was held at the Dream Center's dock for the first time. Through a partnership with Shanghai's The Circle Dance Club, the dance programme expanded beyond breaking to include other styles.

Why Shanghai

Shanghai first hosted FISE in 2024. Organisers described this year's edition as preparation for the city's role as host of the 2028 Olympic Qualifier Series.
