From Tennis to Pickleball: Sabrina Barisano Joins Team Ramsports
For Sabina Barisano, competition has been part of life from an early age.
Her athletic journey began at just four years old, when her parents introduced her to tennis. What started as an early introduction to the sport developed into years of dedication and competition, eventually taking Sabrina to the Division I level, where she also had the opportunity to captain her women’s team.
That competitive drive ultimately led her somewhere new: the pickleball court.
Introduced to pickleball by a friend, Sabrina quickly connected with the sport. Her tennis background gave her a strong foundation, but pickleball presented a fresh challenge and another opportunity to learn, compete, and continue developing as an athlete.

Making Every Session Count
Balancing training with work has shaped the way Sabrina approaches her development. With limited time on court, every session has a purpose.
Her focus is on the details that can make the difference during competition—from refining her shot selection and developing greater consistency to staying composed when matches get tight. It’s an approach built around intentional improvement rather than simply putting in more hours.
That same mindset played a role in her decision to join Ramsports. Beyond finding paddles that felt right from the first time she played with them, Sabrina was drawn to the supportive environment surrounding the team.
For her, having the right equipment and the right people behind her creates a foundation to keep pushing her game forward.
Lessons Beyond One Sport
Sabrina’s journey from tennis to pickleball has also shaped the advice she gives to younger athletes: don’t be afraid to explore.
She encourages young players to experience different sports rather than feeling like they have to follow a single path. The skills, discipline, and lessons developed in one sport can often become an advantage in another.
Her own journey is proof of that. Tennis gave Sabrina a competitive foundation that helped her transition into pickleball, while pickleball has given her a new challenge and a new space to grow.
Now representing Team Ramsports, Sabrina continues to bring the competitive mindset she has developed since childhood to every training session and every match—always looking for the next opportunity to improve.
