Sports We Play, Ramsports Partnership to Bring International Pickleball Tour to Malaysia
Penang, Malaysia — The fast-growing sport of pickleball is set to make waves in Malaysia as local sports platform Sports We Play joins forces with Asia’s premier pickleball brand Ramsports to launch the internationally recognised RGPC Tour and related events nationwide.
The partnership was formalised on September 21 at the Marjorie Hotel, Bayan Lepas, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The event was witnessed by Mohd Fadzil Mohd Noor from the Penang Education Department and Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) councillor Rachel Teh Chuann Yien, who represented Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Representing Sports We Play was director Sim Fong Hau, while Ramsports was represented by director Alex Yuan.
Sports We Play is a dynamic mobile platform and website purely established in Malaysia to connect communities through sports, events, and digital engagement. Meanwhile, Ramsports is Asia’s premier pickleball brand, offering elite equipment, performance apparel, and tournament experiences designed for the next generation of players.
“This landmark partnership will merge Sports We Play’s digital expertise with Ramsports’ global brand to deliver a series of premier tournaments, player and coach clinics, and exciting fan experiences while expanding Ramsports’ footprint in Malaysia,” said Sim.
Sports We Play will serve as Ramsports’ official Malaysian platform and marketing collaborator, integrating Ramsports’ tournament system into its mobile app, website, and social media channels to streamline event management and enhance fan engagement.
“This collaboration is not just about organising events, it is about creating something special together, starting right here on the beautiful island of Penang. By partnering with Sports We Play, we can bring the excitement of the RGPC Tour to new audiences and inspire the next generation of athletes,” Yuan said.
The launch also brought excitement to fans with appearances from Ramsports ambassadors and professional pickleball players Thomas Yu and Hsieh Yu Chieh, who showcased the sport’s rising profile.
