Shelby Bates’ Athletic Background
Originally from Jericho, New York and now based in Jupiter, Florida, Bates has built an impressive athletic journey rooted in discipline and passion. Shelby built her foundation in tennis before transitioning to pickleball.
A former Division I college tennis player, she spent over 15 years teaching tennis before discovering pickleball in 2022. What began as a new challenge quickly turned into a full-fledged professional pursuit, Bates turned pro just six months after picking up a paddle.
